We would like to take this opportunity to announce the premiere of the "Eiga-De-English" salon on April 1st, 2008. We invite all who are interested to join us in April for a free month of trial lessons. In order to join the free class, please follow the instructions below. As an added bonus, in order to create a relaxing atmosphere, we will be offering free* soft drinks, beer etc. during the lessons (*limit 1 per customer during trial period). The course schedule for this salon consists of 4 lessons a month excluding major public holidays (e.g. Golden Week, Obon, etc). There are 8 available class periods on Saturdays and Sundays (60 minutes per lesson). Each class will have a maximum of 6 members. Weekend classes will take place at (1) 9:00-10:00 (2) 10:30-11:30 (3) 12:00-13:00 (4) 13:30-14:30 (5)15:00-16:00 (6)16:30-17:30 (7) 18:00-19:00 and (8) 19:30-20:30. During weekdays, 2 lessons a day will be offered at 18:00-19:00 and 19:30-20:30.

授業は、大ヒットした洋画の中から、会話に適した素材を教材として、大型DVDプロジェクターで映し出される映像を見ながら（映画館スタイルで）、ネイティブ講師が行います。もちろん休憩も取り入れます。クラスでは、ヒット映画を通じて、楽しみながら、相互対話形式で、英語のスキルを高め、会員間、講師も含めた意味のある人間関係の醸成を心がけ、全ての会員が脱落することなくコース満了を目指します。
教材は、Eiga-De-Englishで独自に開発したわかりやすい映画台本をベースにしています。教材はA4サイズの両面見開き面に印刷され、かさ張らないルーズリーフタイプです。せりふや重要な言葉や文章、チャプタータイトル、経過時間を記載し（DVDの簡単検索用に）、次ページの左上には、前頁からの継続を表す同終了時間とチャプターを表示して、個人学習に役立つページマーキングとしています。さらに、ページの右上に、Re: 欄を作って、映画にでてくるトピックの題材に関し、幅広い、より深い知識を実例を挙げて学びます。例を挙げると、飛行機に乗るシーンでは、（テキストでは恐らく、Re: 飛行機での旅行と記される）航空機を使った旅行に必要な言い回し、即ち、航空券の買い方、世界の主要航空会社名、予約の確認の仕方、フライト変更の方法や、ポーターへのチップとかすべての関連表現を取り上げます。又、映画で誰かが、病気になった時などは（テキストでは恐らくRe:病気と記される）、病名、症状、薬の種類、各国の救急車の呼び方、海外疾病保険等、日本人が外国で困らないための知識や対処方法などをクラスで取り上げます。
又当サロンでは、卑語、俗語の部類を、反面教材として、取り上げます。伝統的、教育的規範があるために、学校ではたびたび、無視されてきた、教科書英語ではなかなかお目にかかれない生活英語があります。これらの言葉は、他人を傷つける攻撃性があるため、その用法に、十分な認識もつことが重要ですが、これらも英語の一部で、日常的に使われているものが多いのも事実です。これらを無しに、談話をしたり、人を理解しようとすることは、おいしい成分材料の欠かして料理をするのと同じです。これらの意味を理解したり、いつ、どのようにして使うかを知ることは、英語でのコミュニケーションには大変必要かつ不可欠な部分です。当サロンの講師は使い方のルールやどのような場合にどのような表現を用いるかを適切に指導します。 |

All lessons will be taught by native instructors using selected blockbuster movies projected in a widescreen format (movie theater style) as a teaching tool. There will also be intermittent We hope that throughout the course students will form meaningful relationships with each other and their instructors as they develop their English skills through fun and interactive lessons.
The classroom texts have been developed by Eiga-de English and are comprehensive of the movie's script. They are printed in a convenient light-weight, double-sided, A4 size loose-leaf booklet. They include character dialogue, key words and phrases, elapsed time, chapter titles (for easy DVD reference) and are clearly numbered so as to allow for quick reference during personal study time. Furthermore, selected topics appearing in the movie are referred to on the top right of certain pages (indicated by an "re:") and will be explored in greater depth during classtime as featured subjects. As an example, during the movie a scene comes up where a passenger must catch a flight. In your booklet this will be referenced as "re: air travel" and will be used to look into other aspects of travelling such as buying tickets, changing a booking, well-known airlines, tipping the porter, travel insurance, etc.. Another example would be if someone gets sick in the movie, the text will have "re: illness" written and in class we will touch on names of illnesses, how to express symptoms, different kinds of medicine, etc.. Thus giving you the proper vocabulary necessary to assist with such troubles while overseas.
In our salon, we also look explore impolite and vulgar expressions so as to serve as negative examples of the language. This part of the language is often bypassed by schools due to tradition and educational moral code. We kindly request however that you recognize that while these words and expressions may offend some ears, they are still a part of the English language and are commonly used in everyday life. Attempting to converse and comprehend without them, is like trying to cook a meal without all the ingredients. Knowing their meanings and how and when they can be used is a very necessary part of communicating in English. Our instructors will guide you through the rules of usage and which expressions can be used for which occasions. |

| The member fee and the first lesson tuition would be paid in cash before the first lesson starts. The tuition for following months shall be paid in cash before the last lesson of the previous month starts. |

| 当サロンは、3ヶ月以上の前払いや、それに伴う、割引等は、サロンの健全経営という意味から、一切実施しておりません。 但し、入会時に3か月分の授業料を現金で、前納していただいた場合は、入会金を免除させていただいています。 これは、6名という小クラスを3ヶ月間維持することにご協力いただくことへのお礼です。 |

| We have no advance payment system with discount exceeding 3 months tuition payment in order to run our salon financially healty which can lead long term lessons maintenace. Member fee can be exempted when 3 months tuition can be paid at once before the first lesson starts showing our appreciation to be cooperative for 3 months lessons attendance. |
